From day one we work with our clients – be them designers, architects, contractors, or homeowners – to produce works of art. We encourage our clients to send us photos, sketches, renderings, or drawings so together we can create your architectural reality. Our expert team of engineers, designers and producers provide input every step of the way on potential material choices, gauges, finishes, and mounting options so we can ensure a piece that will last a lifetime.

ESTIMATING

Initial estimates to final quotes

Once your concept is in place, our dedicated sales and estimating team will provide you with an estimate and schedule. Typical estimates are based on factors such as material type, gauge (thickness), finish, and any other architectural elements required to achieve your vision. When agreed upon we will send you a final quote for your approval, then we move to design and production.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Custom work needs custom management

Depending on the scope, your project will move to our project management team. From coordinating with the design team to involving production and communicating with the end-user, this dedicated project manager works to ensure the timely delivery of your project.

DESIGN

Industrial design, research, development & prototyping

Our FAB LAB takes your concept from design to architectural fabrication. Since no two projects are alike, the design stage is a critical component to ensure a successful production outcome. Before launching into full production our design representatives will draft representative concepts on sketches, renderings, or prototypes for both your approval and for our production team to accurately create your innovation. With our expert advice and your feedback, we are then ready to move to production.

ENGINEERING

Our company and projects; built by engineers

We have a strong foundation. Our founder, a Certified Engineering Technologist by trade along with a team of industrial designers, engineers and production specialists work with you from the project onset to develop efficient and integrated structural solutions. When required they also inspect and approve all structural aspects. We are also pleased to provide stamped shop drawings, and other documentation for those clients working with governmental bodies or other authorities.

FABRICATION

When your vision becomes a reality

This is where the magic happens. Our expert architectural experts and digital fabricators are skilled to work with any material and finish. Our FAB LAB – as we like to call it –boasts a 10,000 square foot production shop and is fully equipped with leading digital fabrication equipment, precision tooling and multi-axis CNC machines required to manufacture at the highest level of precision.

SHIPPING

Worldwide shipping

After we create your work of art, our skilled warehouse team will carefully package your project using custom crates, bags, or boxes. If necessary, our team will disassemble your project to a practical size for shipping. The logistics team is responsible for directing shipping anywhere in the world by truck, rail, air, or sea. Shipping prices will be provided to clients in the project estimate.

INSTALLATION

A handy team of experts from start to finish

We are proud to partner with a dedicated installation team that manages the measuring and installation of our projects within the Greater Toronto Area. We can also facilitate installation globally depending on project scope. At Solana, we have developed modular and end-user friendly installation innovations to allow our clients to install their projects with detailed instructions.
